Steve House Teaching Helper

 

We will be hosting Steve House as the Teaching/Certifying Helper for the Helper Certification on Oct 12th and 13th. Steve will also be doing a seminar on Friday, Oct 11th at club Practice (7pm). There is no charge for Club Members or entrants in the Certification Trial. There will be a $20 charge for non-club members/entrants to attend. All are welcome!

We are also looking for IPO dogs to work on both Saturday and Sunday.
All events to be held at our training field in Crosby, TX. 409 Hare Rd. Crosby, TX.

This is a very important event for our State and our Region. Currently, there is only one club level certified helper in the state of Texas and only a hand-full in the Region.

Steve House has trained dogs since 1979 and began his Schutzhund career in 1983. He is a WDA National Level Helper and a WDA Teaching Helper. He has mentored and coached competitors in the protection phase from the club to world levels, and trained eleven helpers from scratch to become certified helpers. This year marks Steve’s fourth appearance at the NASS in the past five years. In 2009, he was the Front-Half Helper for Females at NASS in Los Angeles. In the two following years, Steve was the Front-Half Helper for the Males at NASS in Reston, Virginia. He has worked many of the top dogs in the world, both in the United States and in Schutzhund clubs in Germany. Steve is currently the President and Training Director of Tri-City Schutzhund Verein, located in Virginia and Maryland. He lives on a farm in Virginia that serves as the club headquarters.
